-Air. The air the giant breathes would require a thousand times more than what a regular person would breathe, and they only serve to lower the amount of oxygen-nitrogen in the atmosphere.
-O-zone. If a giant is too tall, they can immediately begin being plagued by the ozone if one doesn't check their height. This is one reason my characters have limits, because they are trying to take in air that's either far too high up and can cause them to feint due to lack of oxygen, (and cause some damage to the planet upon falling) or possibly suffocate them to death.
-Clouds. We all know that rain contains a certain degree of acid rain. Another poisonous factor if the character's head is "getting high".
-Food. Another big reason why being macro can be dangerous if you can't get yourself small again. The character will quickly begin to wonder how the hell they're going to survive.
-Movement. Everyone knows that large things, upon impacting with the ground, will leave some form of crater or cracks. The larger the macro, the deeper and wider the crater along with shockwave damage. One can make nasty earthquakes, even if they are walking around at a very safe distance (i.e. just on the horizon), and walking in water causes large splashes that have the potential to create tsunamis or tidal waves beyond record measurements.
-Responsibility. Macros also need to have a good heart and understanding of those who they interact with, or the regular folks walking around that are only the size of a hair to them.
-Size. Yup, you heard me. There's good sizes, and there's bad sizes. If you want to be large so you can... say... help a construction team build a solid skyscraper, then do it at something that doesn't risk the character getting into an accident that's serious enough to put lives into jeopardy. If you want to get stronger, try going smaller. If your body is smaller, then the weights you lift will get heavier. Yes, those have risks too, but so long as you can change back to your original height, you'll be fine. You don't need to enlarge yourself to build your body up. That just makes it easier and removes the challenging part.
Seriously, some people need to look at their characters again and think if they portray them properly.
That was my non-rant-like rant on macros. I'm done now.
