Finally... This guy was a royal bitch to color... Yeah yeah, I know I know... Y'all know how to color better than I can.

I can't shade worth shit... If anyone would give me a good shading tutorial (sorry ~bitterlimeparakeet, I couldn't find your tutorial, and rockerbot, your shading tutorial wasn't in-depth enough for me to use), that'd be appreciated... Please note I can't shade feathers worth the life or death of me. Instead of his whites being pure white, I'd figure it was SOME form of crappy shading by using a light grey instead of a white for the body, because it's supposed to give that night-time feel. I'll upload this again with a background and some shading after once I get a GOOD SHADING TUTORIAL on how to do it properly. Also I did a horrendous job of drawing his six-pack... Whoop-di-fucking-do.

But anyway, more about the character...

John Cooke in gryphon form, as depicted by the picture, has glowing eyes, glowing tattoo on both shoulders and what looks like a laser beacon from his tail. He was once married to Anita, but due to Carterus's intervention, Anita was first found by John on board the Infernal, a giant star destroyer-styled ship but with many differences to it. John had not yet discovered his gryphon form (or had, but couldn't remember due to Amnesia after destroying the Infernal and crash-landing hard on Earth). Due to the fact that Carterus casted Anita down, and found out the truth that John was merely being used as a tool to help Carterus dominate the planet, John went insane, kidnapped the crew and forced them to be cast all over earth, being that even though their only the size of half his toe, he wouldnt have the heart to kill anyone. He's never devoured anyone either, except one scientist he nearly ate because he was lying to him, only to find out last minute that he was telling the truth, so he dropped him from his beak and the scientist had a wounded leg but that was it... and a lot of saliva on him as well.

During the opening portal between Zenoratika and Earth, John and all his friends and family, along with all the gryphon species and animals he rescued from the floating space debris of the Infernal along with his newly-found brother Evan, when he didn't know Naracilis was really a daughter of his own (he is still human at this point), find out that her would-be father Opert stabbed her and let her lay on the ground to bleed. Enraged, John transforms in a huge burst of light into his gryphon form, seen here, and fights Opert until he slits his arm, and realizes that they were not who they actually were, but only shadows from Ryco and Carterus, who were actually attempting to take force to Zenoratika and must go in and save them. Once the shadows vanished, a ring around John's right wrist and Anita's left wrist appears as a blueish-white ring (not visible in this picture due to I forgot to order it in) with diamond-made hearts all over it reveals how he and she were married once before.

His tail is a very special weapon. He can whip around, and his tail will emit a microwave explosion that knocks people flying, and he won't budge a bit. Just a sharp 360 degree turn and kaboom. XD This is my main protagonist, and I love him. So sexy... *cracks up*

Please don't judge too harshly... It's my fourth deviation (but the third one of my Shadow the Hedgehog does the PBJ got removed by dA, DAMN YOU!!!), and I plan on getting better.
