Twilight : "Ya rainbow ankle-biter!" "That'll slow yer down, ya twitchy hooligan!" "Ya miniature delinquent! "Couldn't skip around that could ya, ya precious little pony!" "Ya spastic little gremlin!"
Rainbow : "Snipe dat, ya frickin' coward!" "That fancy scope of yours, bet ya got a REAL good view of me killin' ya!" "You looked da whole time for dis?!" "It was a mercy killin', ya live in a... air balloon!" "You'll never hit me! You'll never hit my tiny head! It's so tiny! I got a frickin'... such a tiny li'l head!"
Kind of late but Id put my money on Rainbow dash other source or not her power still is coming from her element of loyalty. Id imagine she is fighting to bring Twilight to her senses for this reason her loyalty is burning through to her core. If you remember from sonic rainboom when her friends are in trouble she can bypass her limits. So in the end Twilight stands no chance as Rainbow by default is the same pantheon of Simon the digger always able to pull just little bit more power through shear force of will. example: [link] though it might be a draw like this: [link]
Rainbow is totally f***ed. I mean, twi is in Rage mode. Sure, Dash can perform the sonic rainboom, but that's tottaly useless In a fight. It takes too long to activate, and it just makes a single shockwave. Twi can move faster than light rapidly. That opens up a lot of maneuvers. Like: Dash divebombs at twi, twi stands her ground. Dash does the Sonic rainboom, twi stands there until dash is right about to hit her, then she:teleports/puts up a forcefield/ fires a magic bolt, etc ..... Fuc* my overaynlistic mind
Done with the story. Actually, it's an episode script I wrote, in which we get a proper explanation why Derpy's looks have been changed - 'cause I grew tired of seeing everyone baaaw and argue with each other about it. "Fleetway Super Dash" only appears briefly. I think it's a nice story, though. I've uploaded it already.
Look, I wasn't really that much of a fan, either, I just thought she was a kirky background character. I was surprised when they gave her a voice and cannonized her name, but I wasn't displeased or anything - it was just a bit of mind-boggling. When they edited her, I wasn't as much as sad as pissed at several people - I'm pretty sure those who demanded to change her are ACTA supporters - but I figured: "if the West wants to screw up it's own reputation EVEN further, I am not the man to stop it." Then I saw the fanbase's reaction, and I decided to actually do something about it. An episode script is the first idea that came to my mind - aside from the letter I wrote to Ms. Faust - so I did it. It think it's good, for a start, but I need some constructive criticism.
Bear in mind Lauren no longer works on MLP except for consulting.
Now, Derpy was fine before she was given a voice and a name. The fact they brought her out without any real introduction or some awe-inspiring doing was like a train hitting a penny and fucking derailing for me. That's why I'm never going to look at Derpy the same way anymore. They took her and made her like a bug storm that starts coating the windshield of your car (it happens sometimes, called bug rain).
I was displeased because it brought character development from steadily building up nicely to complete fuck-uppery. It was like that person who made the Eiffel Tower of toothpicks, and then the accident happens to it. RUINED. However, only the top-most part fell off, and could be repaired in half the time if they just left it.
NOPE. Hasbro destroyed any hope left once they made that edit.
Fans. Attempt to please them all, it will fall around you. Didn't they learn from "Suited for Success"? Christ...
Haven't had the chance yet, could you get me a more direct link? College has been keeping my ass in a slingshot, and these fuckers... *glances around at his own fantasy world, and then the MLP world, then AEons of Death, and more* have NOT been helping me!
I think I bought myself some breather room though.
If you're wondering why it gets irritating to me, it's because of what I like to call fanboyism. I've learned my lesson recently, and it's simply this...
Simply state who you would place your bets on, and move on. People had to go overwhelming with all the Rainbow Dash love, it was to the point where I wanted to go out on a limb and either tear down the picture or letting the original artist show their support for Twilight. That would have just made me look like a sore loser though, trying to force opinions on everyone else.
People piled reasons after reasons when I simply asked for only one reason and to whom they would put their bets on, because I had originally designed the fights to be "perfectly fair".
I did, honestly. Both characters have their pros and cons, and it was to be treated in a way that it was pure bettings and nothing more.
Sadly, this turned out not to be the case. There were tons of crazed fans going bloodthirsty on others for opinions, and I'm tempted to disable all comments on these pictures. I won't though, because I still like seeing people "placing bets". Not a ridiculous amount like "a gazillion" on so and so, but a realistic amount, say $10 or $2000. Something people could actually spare.
Yes, a friend of mine placed a $1000 bet before and he won it, it was over a football game.
This was just a lengthy explanation as to why I'm against the piling of reason here.
Once you unhide my comment like you promised, if you wish to reply, I will read and might reply back. I might respond, but I should at least be honest in telling you that I have gone far past the point of caring. It is obvious we have vastly different environments and points of view regarding what is acceptable and normal for a discussion.
I will however, promise to read it. I have absolutely no desire to extend a pointless debate more then 3 replies past its expiration of caring, I still want to extend the courtesy of you finishing your rational.
You can of course hide this comment, as it wouldn't fit in the discussion part of our debate.
Good. Now put "Super Rainbow Dash concept by (link)Super-SonicGT" in your description for both your pics. You are not allowed to use another's deviant's concept without crediting him/her in the description.
...wait a minute, are you the same guy I've seen on Ponibooru commenting on my commissioned stuff?
No, I'm not one of the anons on there if that's what you're thinking, but I've definitely seen your comments. Especially the one where you said that Dash has the strongest connection to the EoH, moreso than Twilight...and now I see what you mean.
You just might be speaking the truth here, but only time will tell on that. And only if the new showrunners will heed to it, now that Faust has left.
Now if only we could think of something that isn't so one-sided (i.e. doesn't involve Twilight OP Sparkle)...then again, Pinkie Pie has been shown to be able to interfere with Twi's spells (e.g. substituting herself for Spike when Twi tried to teleport Spike to herself), and she has the ability to screw physics whenever it'd be funny. She might actually be a match for Twi!
